A B O U T

The GENALYSIS team is comprised of researchers who understand how to analyze and communicate scientific information. We employ native English-speaking scientists who have published original research in professional journals, and who also have extensive writing and editing experience. Our bioinformatics specialists are biological scientists with computational and/or statistical backgrounds. We understand your scientific communication needs - we have been there ourselves! In fact, the GENALYSIS team is so effective that our client base has grown solely by word of mouth. We are accepting new clients and look forward to speaking with you about your project.

Dr. Johanna Craig founded GENALYSIS in 2004. She holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in the life sciences and completed post doctoral fellowships in the life sciences and bioinformatics. Dr. Craig's 20 years of experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics has provided a first-hand understanding of the challenges associated with data management, mining, and inference. She has a diverse and unique background in molecular biology, biochemistry and statistics examining a range of disease- and drug-induced molecular trends. Her expertise is sought for acquiring, storing and managing vast amounts of genetic data for initial analysis as well as subsequent trend analyses. Colleagues in bioinformatics software development regularly seek Dr. Craig's opinion on novel products and enhancements to current tools. Dr. Craig coauthors manuscripts for publication in major scientific journals, collaborates on grant applications, and prepares technical reports and continuing medical education (CME) materials for the pharmaceutical industry and medical audiences.

Haruka's experience includes a baccalaureate degree from the University of Washington and a Doctoral degree from the University of Texas (Austin). She has a proven track record of successful grant applications (awarded over $100,000 to date) and publications (over two dozen published articles and invited presentations). Haruka's research interest is the role of environmental stressors in gene expression among vertebrates. Guillaume's international education includes business, engineering, and scientific coursework from the baccalaureate level (France), to a Master of Science degree (Scotland) and a Doctoral degree (United States). He has published over a dozen scholarly articles, abstracts, presentations and book contributions in the first few years of his career. His research interest is studying fish physiology to optimize nutritional strategies for fish cultivated in aquaculture.

Sonia is a Fulbright scholar who obtained her Ph.D. from the Food Science and Technology Department at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is a consultant for food safety issues, helping companies to implement GMPs, HACCP and other quality programs that ensure process safety. As a native of El Salvadore, she is fluent in five languages, including both spoken and written Spanish. Her areas of specialization include sensory analysis, and developing programs to monitor the physical chemistry of food, particularly seafood safety systems.
