Bioinformatics

We can take your raw, non-normalized gene expression data and analyze it from start to finish, with publication-quality figures and methodology and analysis descriptions. Oftentimes, microarray data sets are “under-analyzed” and many important genes and biological processes go unnoticed. Our optimization steps include decontamination, preprocessing, organization, and specialized analyses.

• Experimental design consultations are recommended before beginning a gene expression study. We have a tried-and-true method for gleaning the most from your costly experiments.

• Statistical analyses standard univariate statistics, linear and multiple regressions, ANOVA, principal components analysis (PCA), and discriminant functions analysis. Software tools include R and Bioconductor, SAS, and SPSS.

• Signal transduction pathway analyses are conducted with Pathway Studio software, KEGG algorithms, and various transdisciplinary data processing methods. Determining likely signaling events can lead to a meaningful subset of genes relating to biological outcomes. All figures and methodology descriptions are provided.
